Fear Not!

Day 02

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts you.”

— Isaiah 26:3

God tells us over and over in His Word that we should fear not.  So, what should we do when fear tries to creep in?

  1. FOCUS ON GOD.
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” — Isaiah 26:3
When you keep your mind focused on who God is and His love for you, you will not allow room for fearful thoughts.
  2. EXPECT GOD’S HELP.
“My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.” — Psalm 62:5
Fear will make you expect the worst; keep your expectation on God’s promises and what God will do for those who put their trust in Him. If fear tries to return, keep speaking God’s Word.
  3. ANSWER FEAR WITH GOD’S WORD.
“But Jesus answered him, saying, ‘It is written…” — Luke 4:4
Jesus answered the enemy’s twisted suggestions with God’s Word. Don’t let the enemy make twisted suggestions to you and make you fearful. Jesus is our example. Answer those suggestions with God’s Word!
  4. REPEAT!
“Is not My Word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” — Jeremiah 23:29
God’s Word is a hammer and a sword! Keep swinging until fear is broken!

Here are some additional scriptures to read to encourage you not to fear:  Isaiah 41:10, Joshua 1:9, Psalm 56:3, Psalm 56:11, Psalm 118:6, 1 John 4:18.

If fear tries to return, keep speaking God’s Word.

Be salt and light,
