What is Your Train of Thought?

Day 06

“…Don’t get off track, either left or right, so as to make sure you get to where you’re going. And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed. Haven’t I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don’t be timid; don’t get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take.”

– Joshua 1:8

Today I want you to reflect on what you are thinking about! What is it that you are meditating on? Where is your “train of thought” taking you to? If the Word is not in the forefront of your mind, then what are you thinking about? What we think on will determine our actions, so let your actions be determined by God’s Word!

The only way we can accomplish this is by knowing the Word and what it says about us. God has so much planned for each and every one of us and the enemy will stop at nothing to keep us from God’s will for our lives. We have to make sure we stay on track in our lives and not fall victim to the enemy’s plans and traps that he sets for us each and every day. If we would hide the Word in our hearts, then when we are challenged by something in our lives that is trying to knock us off track we won’t divert down the wrong path that leads to destruction. The only way we can get where God wants us to go is to practice what the Word is telling us each and every day and stay focused on the things of God.

What we think on will determine our actions, so let your actions be determined by God’s Word!

When we do this, we will never be timid. Instead, we will have all the strength and courage we need to stay on the track the Lord has for us!

Confession for today: “Holy Spirit help me each day to stay on track with God’s will for my life so I never get off track with God’s plan for my life. Lord help me stay in Your Word each and every day so that Your Word will always be in the forefront of my mind and keep me on the path You have for my life.”
