W.A.I.T. (Part 2)

Day 24

“But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.”

– Isaiah 40:31

Don’t let the enemy keep you from the wonderful things God has for you at the end of your season of waiting! Instead, use this period of time to focus on drawing closer to the Lord!

While you W.A.I.T., press in to God and His Word through…

W. – Wisdom! Instead of worrying while you wait, ask the Lord each day for an increase in Godly wisdom! Wisdom helps to keep us out of trouble. It also gets us through situations and circumstances beyond our control. Wisdom from the Lord benefits us in times of waiting because it can bring correction, confirmation, and clarification through the Holy Spirit at a time appointed by God.

“If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.” – James 1:5

A. – Anticipation & Application! Instead of being anxious while waiting, use this time to walk in thankfulness and in joyful, peaceful anticipation of what you are believing God to do for you! Don’t waste a moment of your precious life complaining about when God will fulfill His promises! Instead, thank Him for His promises in advance of receiving them! And during this season of waiting, use your time wisely by applying what the Word instructs you to!

“The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.” – 2 Peter 3:9

I. – Intimacy! Don’t let a season of waiting for God to answer your prayers cause you to become inactive in your walk with Him. Use this time to grow closer to God, showing Him that you have faith in His faithfulness to “…supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory!” Spend more time in intimacy with the creator of the universe in prayer, in worship, and in communion… not less.

“Rejoice and exult in hope; be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation; be constant in prayer.” – Romans 12:12

T. – Test, Trials & Trust! Don’t give the enemy any ground. Simply put your trust in God!

“Blessed (happy, to be envied) is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive [the victor’s] crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him.” – James 1:12

Fight the good fight of faith!
