Day 07 “But the human tongue can be tamed by no man. It is restless (undisciplined, irreconcilable) evil, full of deadly poison.” – James 3:6 Many times when we think of the words we speak, we tend to think about how they affect others. But what about the things we...
“The Lord says I will guide you along the best pathway for your life, I will advise you and watch over you.”
– Psalms 32:8
Hebrews 12:5-6 (AMPC)
5 And have you {completely} forgotten the divine word of appeal and encouragement in which you are reasoned with and addressed as sons? My son, do not think lightly or scorn to submit to the correction and discipline of the Lord, nor lose courage and give up and faint when you are reproved or corrected by Him;
6 For the Lord corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes.
Psalms 139:13-18, 23-24 (AMPC)
13 For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret {and} intricately and curiously wrought {as if embroidered with various colors} in the depths of the earth {a region of darkness and mystery}.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days {of my life} were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them.
17 How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I could count them, they would be more in number than the sand. When I awoke, {could I count to the end} I would still be with You.
23 Search me {thoroughly}, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Isn’t that good news? But first, as Deuteronomy 30:19 declares, you must choose life. Choose the path to the blessings, life, and faith in God. With the help of the Holy Spirit you can have it, so stop worrying about your life and the different situations that may or may not come up. What surrounds you does not dictate who or what you are or have. God’s Word declares who and what you are or have.
Every day you have to make a choice to believe God’s Word for yourself and all the Blessings will come with that decision.
Always choose life, choose Jesus and all the forces of Heaven are behind you, backing you up no matter what. Remember that along the way your words are very powerful, so only speak and choose God’s creative Words into every situation. There are so many great and precious promises God has for you in His Word. Search them out, write them down, read them often, and believe them for yourself.
Proverbs 16:19 says, “A man’s heart devises his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” Don’t you want to be directed by the Lord? Choose His way and you will be glad you did!
Confession for today: “In Jesus’ name I ask You Holy Spirit to let me be led by the Lord down the path He has chosen for me, and that with His Word and Your help I will stay on the path of blessings, life and faith.”
