Living the Good Life

Day 10

“I live the good life which God has prearranged and made ready for me to live.”

– Ephesians 2:10

Additional Reading: Hebrews 13:20-21

Every day is such a blessing when you wake up in the will of God. The Lord has blessed Yvonne and I beyond our understanding! This doesn’t mean everything has been a cake walk since birth by any means, but no matter what happens, we both know we can lean on and put our 100% trust in God. God wants nothing more than for His creations to live the life that He has set out for us to live. Sure, there will be detours and pit stops along this road because we are human, but as long as we get back up and find the road set out before us by God, everything will be okay!

Psalms 145:8 & 9 says God is gracious and compassionate. Don’t think of compassionate in the way of pity, but rather in a way of eagerly yearning for us! Gracious means God is disposed to blessing us and showing us His immeasurable favor during our lives. When you put these together, along with the so many other features of God, it shows His NATURE TO WANT TO BLESS YOU! Think about that, God is just waiting for you to make the right choices so that He can bless your socks off!

God wants nothing more than for His creations to live the life that He has set out for us to live.

Quick story. I will never forget as I quit my job going into PA school,  Yvonne and I just didn’t know how we were going to make it and stay afloat with the house and bills. To make a short story shorter, we sought after God and made the right choices. God opened doors and gave us knowledge to never have to borrow a dime in loans from anyone! School paid in full! God supplied all our needs with money left over! And let me remind you, med school is not cheap, but with God all things are possible! We made choices during that tough financial time, like continuing to give our tithes and offerings and making smart financial choices such as not eating out and by being “frugalists.” God blessed us immensely. I call that living the good life… the God life! Let your choices today make your life good tomorrow!

Confession for today: “God, I want to live the God life and therefore expect nothing less than the good life!”

God is good… all the time… all the time…
