Our Instructions

Day 18

“Attend to My Words…they are life…and health (medicine) to all their flesh.”

– Proverbs 4:20-23

Make God’s Word first place and the final authority in your life and in any situation. The Hebrew word for “attend” has a meaning of “to prick up your ears, harken (listen), cause to hear, incline, mark well, regard.”

That’s what we are to do daily, don’t lose sight of the Word. Read it, believe what it says, receive what it says, and let the Word penetrate your heart.

The Word says:

– You are healed (Isaiah 53:4-5, 1 Peter 2:24)
– That God will supply all your needs (Philippians 4:19)
– That He is Your Shepherd (Psalm 23)
– That you can do ALL things through Christ (the Anointed One and His Anointing) who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13)
To think and speak like this, you need to keep the Word of God in front of your face every day, until your whole attitude changes and your mind is renewed (Romans 12:2).

Make God’s Word first place and final authority in your life and in any situation.

See yourself as who the Word says you are, what it says you can have and what you can accomplish.  Eventually you will begin to act accordingly and your growing faith, together with your words, and corresponding actions will open the door for the Lord to bring it all to pass!

My question to you is: are you really following God’s Instructions?

Confession for today: “In the Name of Jesus, I ask You, Holy Spirit, to help me follow God’s instructions in Proverbs 4:20-23.  Help me believe and receive all that You have planned for my life. With Your help, open my spiritual eyes and ears to God’s Word, let it penetrate my heart as I become a doer of the Word and not a hearer only, Amen.”
