Make it Personal!

Day 14

“Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are … (verse 17 – 18)

– Daniel 3:16-18

Today let’s step into the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego facing the fiery furnace. This is a story that you may have read a dozen times before, or maybe this is your first time hearing it. Today I want you to read this story and treat it as a trust fall into the fiery furnace. These three young people knew they had made the choice to faithfully serve God and not bow to the demands of King Nebuchadnezzar in any way. They chose to live by God’s standards that they had been taught.  Their choice didn’t come from fear of God, but instead by trusting God with their lives. They chose to trust God to be God for them at a very dangerous and serious moment in their lives. They trusted the God who they knew would be faithful to them! Faithful to help, faithful to save them, faithful to deliver them out of this dire situation. They didn’t know how or when, but they just simply trusted He would do what He said He would do if they obeyed Him.

How personal are you with God? Personal enough to trust that when you are faced with trials and temptations that He is truly there with you?  The more we trust God, the more our resolve to live obedient to His Word will be just like the example we read in Daniel 3. The Holy Spirit is right there with you to help you and to give you the answer or the response you need to make a way out of any situation the enemy would try to bring compromise into your life. God desires to prove Himself faithful to you in every test or trial you face in life!

“We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust Him more, for along with every trial, God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously…”

– 1 Corinthians 10:13 (TPT)

You don’t have to bow when you stand with the One you know!

Walk with the King…
