Day 26

“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it.”

– 2 Timothy 3:14

If you have made Jesus your Lord and you have God’s Word in your heart, you can live in victory! You may not have all the answers, and there may be many spiritual things you do not understand, BUT it’s not those things that are most likely to destroy you.  It’s the things you know you’re supposed to do…but DON’T do them that make you fall.

Just think about walking at night down a dark path you are not familiar with in the middle of the jungle. A guide up ahead has a light to keep you on the right path, but you decide to wander off the path into the darkness by yourself.  What do you think will happen to you? You will most likely get lost, or worst case, eaten by a wild animal.

That is exactly the same thing that can happen in your walk with the Lord.  He knows what is up ahead and He shines enough for you to take one step at a time. You have to continue walking in that light to get to where you are going.

Be faithful in those things you know as you continue to study and learn from the Word of God. But most importantly, stay on the path that is lit by the Word of God daily!

Confession for today: “I will continue in what I have learned and I will walk in the light as He is in the light!”
