You Are Known

Day 23

“You have searched me, Lord, and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar.  You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue You, Lord, know it completely.  You hem me in behind and before, and You lay Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.”

– Psalms 139:1-6

Relationships have many different levels of interaction. We all have people we aren’t that close to. These are friends of friends or family members that we have surface conversations with. We know they exist, and sometimes we may even wish they didn’t. Then there are people who we are extremely close to. We talk to them almost every day and we know a lot about them. Even our closest relationships cannot compare to the familiarity God has with us. He knows every detail of our lives. There will be times in life when you may feel like you are alone or misunderstood. It is in those times that you will need to lean into the presence of God. No matter what friends or family members we have, our relationship with them will never compare to our relationship with our Savior.

He knows what we will say before it even comes out of our mouth.

So, when you have those moments where you feel alone, know that you are known by God. Know that He loves you. No matter where you are in life, God has his eyes on you. Know that you can trust Him and that you are valuable to Him. God will never leave you alone! You can always turn to Him!

What does being known fully by God mean to you? Does it change how you feel about your value?

Find peace in His embrace,
