From the Inside Out

Day 03

“Our faces, then, are not covered. We all show the Lord’s Glory, and we are being changed  to be like Him. This change in us brings more and more Glory. And it comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

– 2 Corinthians 3:18

Have you ever thought about the fact that humans are the only creatures God created who have to wear clothes to cover themselves? All other creatures grow their own covering. Some grow fur, some feathers, others have scales or a leathery hide. But all creatures are clothed from the inside out!

I wonder how many of you young people realize how amazing it is that in the beginning, man was clothed just that way too. The Bible tells us Adam was made in God’s image (Genesis 1:27). If you look in Ezekiel 1, you will find that God is clothed in fire. That fire is His Glory flowing out of Him.

“…and from the appearance of His waist downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire…”

-Ezekiel 1:27 (AMPC)

When man was first created, he was like that too. He was covered with the Glory of God. It radiated from the inside out. That’s why Adam and Eve didn’t know they were naked until after they sinned and the Glory left. It was an awful day when man lost that covering, but it is not lost forever because the Bible says we can get it back!

By studying and reading the Bible and spending time with the Lord in prayer, you will come to realize who you are in Christ. You will start showing on the outside what the Glory is like on the inside of you because you are being turned inside out (Praise God).

One last thing. Don’t just look in your closet in the morning to decide what to wear for the day, but look also in the Bible for what to wear spiritually. This will help bring out what is on the inside of you so you can be clothed in the presence of God each day.

…come to realize who you are in Christ.

Is it really possible for you to show the Lord’s Glory in your life? Absolutely.

Confession for today: “As I read and study the Word of God with the help of the Holy Spirit, I will show the Lord’s Glory. I am being changed to be like Him.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)
