Day 27 “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” – Proverbs 13:20 The definition of a guardrail is: a system designed to keep vehicles from straying into dangerous or off-limit areas. You are most likely to find guardrails in potentially dangerous areas of...
“Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.”

Galatians 5:16-17 (AMPC)
16 But I say, walk and live {habitually} in the {Holy} Spirit {responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit}; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).
17 For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the {Holy} Spirit, and the {desires of the} Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other {continually withstanding and in conflict with each other}, so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do.
This is not a subject most people like to talk about. I know that dozens of thoughts run through the heads of young people as perverse imagery is paraded before your eyes through TV and at school. Pornography alone is a disgusting tool used by the enemy to rob young people of their innocence now, and attempt to corrupt their future relationships with their spouses in the future. One statistic showed that four out of every five American teenage boys view pornography regularly via the internet.
But perversion is not just pornography. It is also in how we dress and act, how we talk and joke, and how we think. Again, it is not any easy subject to talk about, but it is one that needs to be addressed. We are at war, young people, every single day. The Bible, written thousands of years ago, would not say that we should, “put to death the earthly and lustful desires” if it was not a big deal! Praying and reading the Word is how we can fight against perversion on the battlefield of life on a DAILY basis! Prayer and the Word is the only way we will win this war.
The famous Dwight Eisenhower once said, “War is terrible, but if you’re going to get into it, you’ve got to get into it ALL THE WAY!” This can be applied to our war on lust and perversion. We won’t win this battle if we are only halfway engaged.
Don’t rely on your own power, but rely on the Power of Almighty God to overcome! Speak to it! Pray about it! Hold captive every evil thought and send them back to where they came from! Lastly, submit to God, resist the devil, he will flee from you, and you will win the war against perversion! Are you in this war…ALL THE WAY?
