God’s Refreshing While We Wait
Day 26 “I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” – Jeremiah 31:25 Additional Reading: Isaiah 40:28-31 I don’t know about you, but to me “Back to school” means back to busy.
What exactly does it mean to be a light in our present day darkness?Think of it with this analogy: you have millions of people aimlessly walking around in a dark maze searching for a prize. Everyone is acting as if everything is fine because there are just so many people. However, no one seems to really know where to go, so on the inside they are filled with hopelessness and deep despair. They can only hope that one day someone will give them a light source so that they can escape the darkness and find the prize at the end of the maze. That prize, which you have had on the inside of you this whole time, is Jesus. When they find the prize, Jesus, they can now go back into the darkness of the maze and help others.
Now think of this from a spiritual perspective. We must go into this dark maze every day when we go to school or to any event outside of our home.
That prize, which you have had on the inside of you this whole time, is Jesus.
We need to ensure that our flashlight batteries are charged up enough each day so that we can get on track, stay on track, and have a safe passage back to the prize, which is Jesus! How do we do this? By renewing our minds and spirit each day! Shine bright, young people! Everyone around you may act cool, like they don’t need God, but inside they are desperate and their spirit man is crying out for a Savior! What is the status of your batteries today?
Confession for today: “Lord, help me to shine as bright as I can for You. Give me the boldness to witness for You daily!”
God is good… all the time… all the time…
