Make His Word The Last Word

Day 13

“’I Am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,’” says the Lord, ‘Who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty.’”

– Revelation 1:8

Jesus is the beginning and the ending of all. When He told us that in the book of Revelation, He was not just giving us some information about Himself, He was giving us a powerful truth which we can apply today!

Let me show you how. He said “in the beginning,” so no matter what challenge or situation you may be facing, you need to start with Him. John 1:1 says that Jesus is the Word. That means, if you are going to start with Jesus, you have to start with the Word. Don’t do anything until you find out what the Bible has to say about your situation. Then, continue to stand on the Word. As Colossians 1:23 says, “Continue strong and sure in your faith. You must not be moved away from the hope that the Good News gave you.”

Continue on in faith. Everything Satan does, every challenge he brings you, is intended to make you throw away God’s promises and doubt His Word. So don’t let go of God’s promises, no matter what may happen. Settle it with God in prayer, but hold on to His promises forever. Then, end with the Word. Jesus said He was the First and the Last. That means a doctor’s word is not the last word, someone saying you aren’t smart or good enough is not the last Word, but God’s Word is the last Word!

Remember this: You are what the Bible says you are (Who you are in Christ). You have what the Bible says you have. And you can do what the Bible says you can do. You need to begin to believe it and say it aloud by faith!

Now, celebrate the victory! Yes, now! You don’t have to wait to see the outcome to celebrate. You have Jesus’ Word on the matter, so you know beyond any doubt that your answer, your victory, is coming. Once you have settled it by believing God, you can be sure that He will have the last Word!

You are what the Bible says you are (Who you are in Christ). You have what the Bible says you have. And you can do what the Bible says you can do. You need to begin to believe it and say it aloud by faith!

Confession for today: “Whatever situations I face, I will start, continue, and finish them with the help of God’s Word!”

P.S. Remember, don’t say what you have . . . HAVE WHAT YOU SAY!
