Created to Worship

Day 11

“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him.”

– John 4:23

Additional reading: 1 Chronicles 16:23-27, 28-31

We were created to worship God! When I think about this, it makes my present and my future seem insignificant and without purpose. I understand we all must go to school and get jobs and what not, but we were ultimately created to worship our Heavenly Father. I know it seems like I am repeating myself with that phrase, but sometimes it takes a while to sink in (especially if you just woke up and are only half paying attention to what you are reading! Haha!)

When we worship God, I believe it takes your spirit man to the NEXT LEVEL! The next level in discernment, judgment, guidance, joy, and peace. When you perform the act that we were created to do, as humans, God pours out His blessing upon you (Exodus 23:25)! Right where you are now, begin to praise Him! Lift your hands toward heaven and thank God for all He is doing and going to do today!

“So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.”

– Exodus 23:25 (NKJV)

I encourage you, each and every day as you spend time praying and reading His Word, to also put a song on (not that you have to) and just worship God who created you! That time with Him will bring your spirit to the next level of intimacy with God, and ultimately to the next level in your natural life!

Find that secret place where you can be alone with God: a secluded place without any disturbances where you can worship Him freely and hear what the Spirit wants to tell you. Find and create your own secret place!

Confession for today: “Lord, I want to worship You more than anything. Help me to find time each day to sit and worship You as You have created me to do! I will devote _____ (time) each day to worshipping You!”

God is good… all the time… all the time…
