You Are Loved

Day 22

“For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

– John 3:16

This scripture is probably a familiar one for you, especially if you grew up in church. It is one of the first scriptures I memorized, and as I got older I realized I never took the time to grasp what it truly meant. There are so many things like that in the life – of someone who has heard the same scriptures and stories basically from birth. You can start to feel desensitized to the power of these words.

I don’t know about you, but there are days in my life where I don’t feel like someone who was worth dying for. I don’t always feel worthy of the free gift of love that Christ offers me every day. However, He did and does love me. God’s love for me is higher than any mistake, greater than any negative word, and stronger than any worldly love. God loves me. He loves you. This love is personal. It isn’t a generic memory verse that all children are required to learn to graduate Sunday school. It is a love that reaches you right where you are today. It is a love that sees you in this very moment. It is a love that covers you through every moment of your life. That great love is what is described in this scripture that we have heard a thousand times. Let it become personal to you today.

God’s love for me is higher than any mistake, greater than any negative word, and stronger than any worldly love. God loves me. He loves you.

Spend some time thinking about what this scripture about God’s love means to you. Write down your thoughts in a place that you can look back and always remember that you are loved.

Find peace in His embrace,

Jasmine
