Day 14

Salvation-Trust-Application-Non-Compromising-Disciple-Anointing-Responsibility-Dauntless

“I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace as you trust in Him. Then you will have more and more hope, and it will flow out of you by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

– Romans 15:13

In our acronym STANDARD today, we are focused on the T: TRUST.

So much is gained as we put our trust in all God is! In Romans 15:13, we see joy and peace fill us as we trust the Lord, which creates hope in our hearts. We all can use more peace, joy and hope which increases through trust!! Trust, by definition, is reliance on the integrity, strength and ability of person or thing; confidence. For us, trust is all our confidence in the strength, ability and integrity of who God is!

The enemy wants to cause broken trust in our experience with people or circumstances and have that broken trust reflect God‘s credibility. This is deception! The enemy knows that distrust causes distance and distance from God is danger. If we don’t trust His Word and become uncertain in what we believe, that causes us to lose our confidence in who we are in Jesus. When this happens, it pulls us away and sways us from our walk with the Lord! I will say it again: distrust causes distance and distance is danger! Hebrews 10:35 says, “don’t throw away this confidence/trust in the Lord…”

…trust is all our confidence in the strength, ability and integrity of who God is!

Trust is built by stepping out in faith, so think of a trust fall with a friend. As you get closer and closer to the Lord (through these daily devotion times, praise and worship, and being in church), the closer you get, the easier it is to lean on Him. As you start to trust Him, you will find out He is the only One who will never let you fall!

What area of your life are you unshakeable in your trust with the Lord?

What area can you close the gap and lean on the Lord more?

Walk with the King…
