Our Identity in Christ

Day 20

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

– 2 Corinthians 5:17

Whoever or whatever you get your identity from is what you will defend, promote, and protect. Are we publicly, visibly, and clearly identified with God and His word? God wants us to get our identity from Him, through Jesus Christ: Who we are in Him and Who He is in us! Use these scripture-based confessions to remind yourself who you are in Jesus!

Acts 17:28 – You live and move and have your being in Jesus.

2 Corinthians 5:21 – You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:5 – You are enriched (have knowledge) through Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:30 – You have righteousness, holiness and redemption in Jesus.

1 Corinthians 8:6 – You live for Jesus.

Colossians 1:16 – You have been created by God and for God.

Ephesians 1:5 – You are loved into sonship through Jesus.

Ephesians 5:8 – You are no longer in darkness.

Ephesians 6:10 – You are strong in Jesus.

Philippians 4:19 – You have all your needs met in Jesus.

Colossians 2:10 – You have fullness of life in Jesus.

Colossians 3:3 – You are hidden with Christ.

Confession for today: “Holy Spirit, give me the ability to never have any identity with anything that is of this world, but rather help me always have my identity in Christ.”

Seek Him First!
