Now is the Time
Day 10 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” – 1 John 2:15 “For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the...
What an encouraging thought, that the creator of the universe thinks so many thoughts about each one of us that it’s compared to sand! Have you ever been to the beach, picked up a fist full of sand and let it fall through your fingers? Just the small amount that we can fit in our hands doesn’t even come close to the thoughts God thinks towards us. And not only do we come to His mind, but this verse says that His thoughts are precious and weighty. They have depth and significance.
The word “precious” in the Greek is yaqar, which means valuable and rare. So how significant we must be in order for the Creator of the universe to think of us this way! Unfortunately, we may come across situations and people throughout our lives that make us momentarily forget that. At times we will be overlooked, under-appreciated, bullied, left out or forgotten, but let this verse be a reminder of your real value! What the Lord thinks of you is the truth of who you are.
Confession for today: “Lord I come to You today with any feelings of insignificance that I have in my heart. There have been times when I’ve been bullied and overlooked and it’s affected how I view myself. I know that this is a lie from the enemy and I lay those feelings down right now. I thank you Lord that Your word tells me how much You love me and how significant I am to You. I confess that what You think of me is the truth of who I am and that my worth and value is found in You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
Let your light shine,
