God’s Refreshing While We Wait
Day 26 “I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” – Jeremiah 31:25 Additional Reading: Isaiah 40:28-31 I don’t know about you, but to me “Back to school” means back to busy.
In 312 AD, Constantine the Great, on the eve of a major battle against Maxentius at the Milvian Bridge, saw a vision of the Chi Rho, which is a picture of the first two letters of Christ in Greek. In the vision, he heard Jesus tell him to “Conquer by This.” This then became the symbol of the army, an insignia placed on the flag. Each time they marched under the standard of the cross they had a victorious battle!
We, as Christians, have Jehovah Nissi, our Banner of Victory, to go before us in our daily battles. Jesus, the King of Kings, has defeated the enemy for us. This gives us the confidence that we will have victory in the battles we face each day. We can hold up our Standard, the Word of God, over ourselves as we go, by speaking what the Word says over our situations and knowing we will win each battle we face! The Word tells us we who are born of God are victorious and we are overcomers (1 John 5:4).
We, as Christians, have Jehovah Nissi, our Banner of Victory, to go before us in our daily battles.
God is for you today. No matter what may be coming against you, know that God is for you (Romans 8:31)! Start out by being thankful to Jesus, the One who goes before you, stands besides you, and is always over you (1 Corinthians 15:57).
What challenge are you facing today?
What does the Word say over that situation?
Walk with the King…
