God is Healing Our Land

Day 27

“What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all!”

– Romans 3:3-4

Faith-filled words change things. They turn pain into joy. They turn sickness into health. They can turn a sinner into a child of God. There’s something else faith-filled words can do…they can take a sin-filled nation and turn it into God’s own country. If Christians would back up the prayers they pray for their nation with words of faith instead of doubt, division and discouragement, we would see spiritual revival all around our nation and even the world.

God promised that if we, His people, would humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways, He would heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14). There are prayer warriors all over the world (hopefully you are one of them) who are doing just that. Do not discount yourselves because of your age…God does not say it is only for the adults to do this, as a Child of God this is something you should be doing in your daily time with God. You don’t hear many folks these days saying, “This nation is great! God is sure moving in this land…” Instead, you hear folks talking about how bad and downhill bound it is, or some other destructive thing. Listen! We need to stop preaching what the devil is doing and start speaking what God promised He would do…heal this land!!

God said He is healing the land! No matter what the world says, their unbelief will not stop God’s Word from working. George and I don’t even listen to the news anymore, instead we praise and thank God for the mighty things He is doing for our nation and that He’s protecting us from evil. That releases faith in our hearts. So get determined to take a firm stand with other praying believers that things are changing for the better in our country. Settle it in our hearts as you pray. The prayers you pray today will determine the kind of country you live in tomorrow.

We need to stop preaching what the devil is doing and start speaking what God promised He would do…

Confession for today: “I humble myself and pray and seek God’s face. I turn from wicked ways and He forgives my sin and heals this land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
