When God is our source of JOY & PEACE, we will overflow with HOPE! We live in a “satisfaction” driven society today where people jump from one source of happiness to the next, never finding true fulfillment or contentment in anything that they put their hands to. The simple truth is that outside of God there are a multitude of sources of happiness, which are fleeting moments, but no true substitute source of JOY & PEACE which produces HOPE!
I learned a long time ago that happiness is an emotion that can be easily affected by everything else happening in our lives, while JOY is a state of being that allows us to push through and endure what life has to throw at us, because it’s source is God and therefore pure, unshakeable, and irreplaceable!

Don’t allow the world to sell you on a counterfeit source of JOY! Learn to follow the voice and leading of the Holy Spirit to help you navigate through the “joy decoys” of this life, and draw closer to God, who is the only authentic source of JOY!
Take a moment and list the things in your life that bring you happiness. Then ask yourself, “Do I depend on these things as my source of JOY, or am I truly relying on God as my source of JOY & PEACE which produces HOPE?”
Confession for today: “Lord, I thank You that I am overflowing with HOPE because You are my source of JOY & PEACE! Help me by Your Holy Spirit to stay vigilant each and every day of what the enemy may attempt to use to lure me away from my relationship with You!”
