Consistently Connected

Day 10

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

– Galatians 6:9

Additional reading: John 15:5-8,9-11

Consistency is defined as the achievement of a level of performance that does not vary greatly in quality over time. In Galatians 6:9 we are encouraged to stay strong and be consistent in our choices. This is not always a simple task.

Think of someone you know who has achieved something great. They may be an athlete or someone who does well in school. For them to be successful, they have to be consistent. They have to make sacrifices. Maybe they couldn’t go out with friends or skip a day of school when they were tired. Their decisions were predictable because they didn’t change day to day. They were consistent. As we can see, there are sacrifices that have to be made in order to stay consistent.

In John 15:5-11, Jesus tells us that we need to stay connected to Him, and that if we do, we will be blessed. Staying connected to the vine takes commitment and dedication. We have to be committed to be consistent in our relationship with God. We need to be dedicated to the goals that He sets before us. That means we stay connected to Him no matter what. It means we don’t quit when things get hard, and living for God gets complicated. Our reward for consistency is a healthy mind, body and soul!

In John 15:5-11, Jesus tells us that we need to stay connected to Him, and that if we do, we will be blessed.

If you feel tired, don’t give up! If you feel like living a life set apart from the world is too hard, be encouraged! Today, God is your strength and He will sustain you! All you have to do is be consistently connected to Him and He will take care of the rest.

What are three ways you can be consistently connected to Jesus?

Find peace in His embrace,
