Day 01 “Get wisdom, get understanding, do not forget My words or turn away from them.” – Proverbs 4:5 Additional reading: Proverbs 4:1-7, 8-14, 15-21, 22-27 The Holy Spirit is really trying to get our attention. He is calling to us and saying, “HELLO! LISTEN! PLEASE DON’T MISS WHAT I...
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work.”
– 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Hebrews 13:20-21 (AMPC)
20 Now may the God of peace {Who is the Author and the Giver of peace}, Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood {that sealed, ratified} the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),
21 Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; {while He Himself} works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages). Amen (so be it).
I think everyone that is reading this can admit that life is full of first-time experiences. And most of us can admit even the most confident of people find first time experiences rather frightening, or at least intimidating. This is normal, but those little nerves that you have are fine as long as you have God on your side! I have experienced tons of first-time events throughout my life, and even though I can be slightly nervous of the unknown, I knew that I was in the will of God and therefore I know He wouldn’t let me down! God knows that we feel less than ready to embark on new endeavors, whether it be switching classes for the first time, going off to college, maybe starting a new job, or buying a home. That is why God sent His Son, this is why He sent His Holy Spirit, that is why He sent His Word, because He wants nothing more than to equip His people with the confidence to succeed. The Bible is full of blessed wisdom and guidance to equip you spiritually, emotionally and professionally. When you regularly invest your time in God’s Word and with Him, His Holy Spirit will grow you up and make you ready for your next first time anything!
I want to encourage you as you live righteous lives before Christ, He has equipped you with the armor of God to fight any battle and to overcome any fear! Yes, life is filled with first time experiences, but the next time you face one, know that Jesus is inside of you and the Holy Spirit is surrounding you and guiding you as you walk towards that new life event! Be excited! God’s new blessings are right around the corner!
Think about what fear or trouble engulfs you when you embark on new first-time experiences and find scripture to battle it… and remember, being nervous is normal but all good things work out for those who serve the Lord!
