Perseverance is “persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.” It also means, “to have staying power: the ability to maintain an activity or commitment despite fatigue or difficulty; stamina.”
Last Friday Yvonne spoke about perseverance in your purpose. As you seek after God, you will begin to see Him move in every situation you face. You may not recognize it at first, just as Yvonne did not understand why God was calling her in different directions, but once you trust God and persevere through to the end, you will see that He has fulfilled all of your heart’s desires. As believers, we run this race not just for our own gains, but also for those watching us. As they see us win victory after victory, they will want to join this race as well! Let God’s peace guide you through your decisions and remember that peace doesn’t mean “I’m good now that everything worked out.” Peace means, “I am trusting that God will work it all out for me.”
