Peace in Our Purpose

On Friday we talked about the characteristics of God’s peace for our lives. Let’s look at Colossians 3:15 (AMPC).

“And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].”

I want to focus on the part that says let “Christ rule” or “act as umpire continually in your hearts.” Are you allowing Christ to rule and be in charge of your life like an umpire rules and is in charge of a game? If we truly want God’s peace to rule and reign in every area of our lives we must release control of our heart to the Lord. He will give us peace when there is turmoil all around. His peace will guide us when we have tough decisions to make for our lives. When we give control over to the Lord to rule our lives, victory is the only outcome that can happen in every aspect of our lives! Purpose in your heart today to allow God’s peace to rule and reign in your life and you will always come out victorious.
