Every decision, thought and plan must have God as the priority over what we feel or what the world may be telling us. God is looking for us to keep Him on the throne of our heart. He does not want to compete with anybody else. Matthew 6:33 says,

“But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.”

The word seek means to:

• Go after
• Strive
• Pursue
• Desire
• Aim at
• Search for
• Endeavor to get

We must not be preoccupied with material things, but instead be seeking after the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Understand that God will always give us every need and desire of our hearts as long as we are living God’s way of doing and being right. Psalm 34:13-15 says,

“Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.”

Decide today to depart from evil and do good so the Lord eyes of the Lord will always be upon you!
