A Purpose for People

As we draw to the end of the summer and get ready to go back to school, let’s purpose in our minds that we will focus more on what other people are going through rather than be focused on ourselves this school season.

As we learned from Basic Training this summer about serving, it is better to put someone else before ourselves.  Instead of being concerned with everything we are going to face as we go back to school let’s put our focus on those around us that may be struggling.  As you walk the halls of school this year or you come across people who are unsaved in your daily life, ask what you can do for them instead of being concerned with what you need.

Acts 20:35 reminds us of what Jesus said,

“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ “

If you would purpose in your heart this school year to look outwardly instead of inwardly, God will use you to reach those who are lost and dying and without the knowledge that they have a Savior that loves them!
