Activate the Power

Day 27

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work in us.”

– Ephesians 3:20

As a Christian, you have the power of the Holy Spirit inside of you, but that power won’t go to work until you put it to work! The Holy Spirit will not force Himself on you. He won’t turn off your TV or music, throw you against the wall and say, “Listen to Me!” No, He is a gentleman. He is sent to help you do what God wants, and to give you strength, wisdom, and guidance. The Holy Spirit is waiting on you to call on Him…but He will not do a thing until He is asked.

I am guessing that if Jesus came into your room and sat down, you would drop everything to talk to Him. You wouldn’t say “Jesus, I’m so happy to see you but I am so tired and I want to just sit here and watch TV…maybe I could make some time for you tomorrow.” You wouldn’t care about how tired you were. You would jump at the opportunity to spend time with Him. You would drop to your knees and worship Him!

Well, the Holy Spirit is in you saying, “I’m here to help you and strengthen you. I want to comfort you today and give you wisdom and get that worry out of your life.”

The Holy Spirit is waiting on you to call on Him…but He will not do a thing until He is asked.

The Holy Spirit has things He wants to show you, things you’ve been beating your head against the wall trying to figure out. He is waiting there with the power to overcome every problem you come up against or to help you make important decisions concerning your future. Take time to pray in the spirit. Pray in your own language. Pray and activate God’s power in you today.

Confession for today: “I call on the Holy Spirit and pray in the spirit and His power works in me!”
