Come Expectantly

Day 28

“The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him, to those who seek Him [inquire of and for Him and require Him by right of necessity and on the authority of God’s Word].”

– Lamentations 3:25

God wants to do big things in our lives. Sometimes it’s easy to let things become mundane and ordinary, but we need to remember that God has a very specific plan for us.

I know for myself it can be hard to always look for the supernatural in my everyday life because I’ve been on this walk with the Lord for as long as I can remember. Going to church three times a week is just my normal. But it shouldn’t become just another thing that we do. We need to come expectantly to the house of God to serve, be fed the Word, and see the supernatural take place. God wants to do miracles in our midst and we are blessed to be a part of a church where the Spirit is always moving at every service. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you enter in and participate in what He’s doing instead of just being a spectator. We all have a part to play!

Confession for today: “Lord God, please forgive me for allowing time in your presence to become ordinary and mundane. I don’t want to just be a spectator of what Your Spirit is doing. I want to play my part and come expectantly every time I come into your presence. Help me to hear the voice of your Holy Spirit and participate in all that you have for me. Amen.”

Let your light shine,

Bre
