How Much of God Do You Want?

Day 17

“You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of gladness with Your Presence!”

 – Acts 2:28

Additional reading: Joel 2:28-30, 31-32

Life can get so busy and full of things to do, whether it be for pleasure or play. The constant stimulation of this world makes it hard at times to sit in that quiet place with the Lord and just spend time with Him and talk with Him. God asked me once in my alone time, “Joe, how much of Me do you want?” I was shocked. I responded with, ”I want as much of You as I can hold!” He responded with, “You don’t talk or spend enough time with Me to have that much.” I started to weep in His presence and ask for His forgiveness.

You might be asking, “What’s your point, Joe?” God wants to pour out His Spirit unto everyone (Acts 2:17), more than you can imagine! He wants to bless you and direct your steps more than you think! Like in the scripture above, He wants to reveal the path of your life! He wants to fill you with His gladness, a gladness and joy that can’t be given to you by friends in school or material things, but a true and pure Joy from Heaven! Seek Him first, young people! Seek Him for your future, for your emotions, for your relationships, and ultimately for your life! His hands are outstretched and waiting for you to seek Him. Take the time to grow closer to Him and life will never be the same! I will ask you the same question that God asked me, “How much  of God do you REALLY want?”

Confession for today: “Lord, forgive me for not always seeking You to the utmost. You are my God, my Savior, I want more of You in my life.”

God is good… all the time… all the time…
