Today we will break down these verses with some definitions to get a full meaning of what Paul is saying to us…
Start with “for us to be rooted and grounded in Christ’s love.” Rooted means to become stable and grounded, to lay a base for. The simple word “in” means the space within anything.
We can be stable and have a base for our lives inside the love of Christ. This love is Agape love. One of the meanings of Agape love is “doing what the One who loves deems needed for the one loved.”
Then, from this point in Christ’s Agape love we set ourselves in His love, trusting that He knows what is best for us. That love then spreads, giving us freedom to be all He has called us to be. This love lengthens over the extent of our lifetime into eternity, the duration of which we cannot see fully, but we can look back on as reassurance. The depth of love brings us deeper and deeper in the revelation, insight, and wisdom to know more and more of Him. Height here means elevation; we will be elevated in all we do, beyond what we could ever ask or imagine.
This love then never stops spreading, expanding your area of influence. This love won’t ever end, nor gradually decline nor abruptly end. You can go deeper and deeper into the mystery of who God is. The more you know Him, the more you will love Him also. Revelation and wisdom continue! The longer you walk with the Lord as Savior you can look back and see just how much He has showed His love to you! He has plans and purposes for you to get to and you will, as this love is your starting point for all success!

This is our prayer today, that you are rooted with your life based inside the love of Christ, and in this place you begin to experience the freedom He has called you to. Walk today knowing this is a love that will be with you every moment of your life! We declare you will have insight and knowledge as you read the Word and listen to the Holy Spirit’s voice, and as you do you will fulfill all God has called you to accomplish with Him.
